Elizabeth Hilliard Selka is a painter based in West Cork, Ireland, and in London where she was born. She studies at the Essential School of Painting in Wood Green, North London, and learnt previously from practising artists in Kent and in Michigan in the USA.

Elizabeth is also a writer who has contributed articles to national newspapers and magazines and is author of books on lifestyle subjects, the decorative arts and colour. Currently she writes book reviews for the BookOxygen website, articles on gardens for Topiarius, the journal of the European Boxwood and Topiary Society (EBTS), and unpublished novels. She has masters degrees in Art History and Creative Writing.
